The Day It Became Clear

Updated: Jan 7, 2021

How my world shifted with a tarot reading, jolt of java, a famous quote, and an adventurer's nudge.

This has been brewing for a long time. The years of discontent. The slow-growing seeds. The safe, warm cocoon. The illusive dream. And, finally, the relief of tapping into my divine direction and finding my unfulfilled purpose.

Urban Inspiration

During a visit to bustling Ann Arbor, Michigan and The Crazy Wisdom Bookstore, I heard a whisper. It wasn't a person. It was my intuition speaking. "Over here. Pick me up," the subtle paperback beckoned. I looked around. Pick what up? And, then I saw it sitting unassumingly on the shelf. It was perfect. The Happiness of Pursuit by Chris Guillebeau. I had been waiting for it. And, it for me. Unknowingly, preparing for the day when others' quests would inspire my own. And, me finally ready to embark on the journey ahead.

But First

Confirmation of what I knew in my heart. Somewhat apprehensively, I wandered to the back of the store to the tarot card reader. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and held and shuffled the cards. I asked for the Universe to reveal my purpose, what I should do next to realize the my calling. The result? Was divine.

The Right Time

Not until I sat down the next day with a delicious mocha Literati Coffee and began digging into the book, did the nudge make sense and the quest become clear. And, the quote I have loved for years take on new meaning.

"And, the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk to blossom." ~ Anais Nin

Connection is Key

I am here to share my love of books, nature and much more... to bring people and a community together. But through more than a typical blog, book club, or bookstore. It will be something special. A space where all are welcome, hearts are open, inspiration is fluid, conversation is contagious, and serendipitous things transpire. And the journey begins.
